Offbeat and quite tidy spot with a cool Bay view. the location is gorgeous and far from the overly touristy downtown area, making it a great base for exploring around. 🌉

Location: the hotel was close to the symphony, taxis, and a hill with great views. The breakfast was plentiful, I tried lovely cereal, pastries and yogurt.

The room was neat, in modern style, and the beds were great! the location in a very pleasant area was convenient, with a market and stores nearby. There was a great restaurant just a short walk away from the hotel.

I had a really nice experience here, everything was beautiful, the location was unbeatable just off the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, Marina district and so to Fisherman's Wharf and Pacific Heights, the loveliest neighbourhood in San Francisco and many restaurants. Plentiful and enjoyable breakfasts with yummy croissants, liked it. The staff, everyone, was particularly helpful.

The suite and regular amenities were very nice, the staff were helpful for any questions and directions, recommendations, etc..
The hotel seemed to be unable to handle any special requests. For example: we requested a vase for roses we purchased for our room and none was provided nor was a call made to explain why, they sat in a drinking water glass. Someone wanted to order champagne sent to our room while we there (it was our 20th anniversary) and the hotel told them it couldn't be done.

I liked the fact the hotel maintained it's original Pacific Heights mansion features. The location is very quiet and beautiful. Close to Presidio Park and Golden Gate. If you want to be near Union Square this is not the place. Service and rooms were great and the morning buffet breakfast is a bonus.
In order to get to Union Square it requires a taxi ride. But if you like being out of the core of the downtown, this location is good. Parking in front of the hotel is very limited for loading/unloading of luggage upon arrival/departure.

Location in Pacific Heights removes you from most of the urban confusion. Lovely homes in the surrounding neighborhood and free street-side parking avoiding valet charges. The breakfast buffets were better than expected, serving smoked salmon and Brie on weekends. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating our specific needs.
Front desk staff was less friendly than maids, food staff, bellmen etc. It is a small intimate lobby and front desk staff were kind of cold and rigid, not greeting guests returning from the days activities. Our group all noted and commented upon this.

Extremely comfortable and relaxing with very helpful staff. This was especially the case thanks to Raisa who offered her personal supply of gluten free cereal to my husband who has coeliac disease.
Omitted to have available gluten free bread as requested, and noted, at the time of booking. It would be easy to keep a small supply of gluten free bread in the freezer for such an occasion.
